Senior Associate Developer – C#\/.NET Cape Town | R700,000 – R745,000 CTC Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Associate Developer to join their IT team in Cape Town. This is an opportunity for a seasoned C#\/.NET developer to play an important role in the modernisation of a business-critical logistics platform, working across legacy and modern Microsoft technologies. We are looking for someone who can do more than develop and maintain applications. You should be comfortable designing code architecture, applying sound development principles and taking ownership of solutions through the development and deployment lifecycle. The role You will be involved in: Designing, developing and maintaining enterprise applications using C# and .NET Modernising legacy VB.NET , .NET Framework and Windows Services into modern C#\/.NET solutions Designing application architecture and applying appropriate software development principles and patterns Developing and maintaining ASP.NET MVC, APIs and IIS-hosted applications Working extensively with Microsoft SQL Server , including stored procedures, functions, indexing, performance tuning and troubleshooting Using Azure DevOps for source control, branching, pull requests, pipelines, builds and deployments Supporting CI\/CD and automated testing practices Troubleshooting production issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions Working closely with developers, business stakeholders and other technical teams What we're looking for You will need: 7+ years' relevant software development experience Strong C# and .NET development experience Experience across .NET Framework and modern .NET\/Core Proven experience modernising or migrating legacy applications Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles and development standards Seasoned Azure DevOps experience – this is important Advanced SQL Server experience, including performance optimisation Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API and IIS Strong debugging, troubleshooting and production support capability Experience working in an Agile development environment Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills Advantageous Experience with any of the following would be beneficial: Azure Key Vault Microsoft Graph API Azure Artifacts \/ NuGet MAUI \/ Xamarin SSIS \/ SSAS \/ Crystal Reports BizTalk \/ EDI K2 \/ Nintex Automation Docker \/ containerisation Azure cloud services What will set you apart We are particularly interested in developers who have progressed beyond simply delivering code and can demonstrate technical ownership — particularly in architecture, development standards, DevOps and solving complex production problems .
