On the hunt for a Senior BI Developer in JHB!

POSITION INFO:
Data is the new currency - but only if it’s transformed into actionable insights. As a Senior BI Developer, you’ll architect, develop, and maintain high-performing BI solutions that shape strategic decisions. This is a role for someone with both technical depth and business acumen, capable of turning complex data into clear, visual intelligence.

Duties

Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using relevant tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, SSIS, SSRS).
Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimise database queries and ETL processes for performance.
Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
Mentor junior BI team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
BI/SQL certifications advantageous.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in BI development or data analytics.
Proven experience with BI tools, data modelling, and database management.
Strong SQL programming skills.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to present complex data in a clear, user-friendly manner.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a passion for data integrity.
