Senior Back-End Developer

SUMMARY:

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Back-End Developer who will design, build, and optimise new features, services, and infrastructure in a high-availability system. You’ll work closely with experienced Engineers, product owners, and the CTO to elevate a platform already making waves—while keeping performance, scalability, and clean architecture at the heart of everything you do.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (essential)
• Java OCA and/or AWS certifications (advantageous)

• 5+ years back-end development experience in a production environment
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Skilled with relational databases, particularly MySQL
• Experience designing, consuming, and securing REST APIs
• Proficient with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
• Familiarity with token-based authentication and unit testing frameworks

• Docker & containerisation tools
• CI/CD pipelines and Terraform
• Java libraries like Hibernate and Lombok
• Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket)
• Exposure to front-end tools like React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
