SUMMARY:
Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper 
Location:  Midrand
Remuneration: Negotiable on experience and qualification

Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is currently recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper for offices based in Clayville in Midrand.
 
We are looking for a competent and mature Senior Bookkeeper. With a minimum of 12 years of bookkeeping experience to Trial Balance and Management Accounts, to accurately manage the accounting and financial activities of the company.
 
Must have own transport with a valid driver’s license.
Live in and around the Midrand area.
Must be Proficient in English.

Required qualification and working knowledge:

• Completed BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Management, or a similar Degree
• At least 12 years of financial management experience
• Sage X3 Accounting Software work experience
• Access Software work experience
• Advanced Excel work experience for reporting

POSITION INFO:
Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Full Bookkeeping function to Trial Balance
• Full functions Debtors on Sage X3 and Access, presently operating on 2 Systems
• Full function Creditors on Sage X3 and all Manual Remittances
• Excel Sales summary analysis
• Age Receivables analysis
• Purchasing and placing orders where required
• Purchases Journal
• Petty Cash Control
• Fleet card schedules and reconciliations
• Income and Expense schedules
• Stock counts and Stock control management
• Preparation of journal entries and general ledger and various account reconciliations
• Completion of the bank reconciliation
• Analyse performance against budgets
• Managing daily/ monthly cash flows
• Debtors and creditors reconciliation
• Inventory control and processing of inventory journals
• General ledger reconciliation
• Financial Reporting
• Management Accounts
• Budget and allocation of funds appropriately
