Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain inventory stock levels.

Reconciliation of inventory on hand to balance sheet

Full Debtors Control Functions: Inclusive but not limited to:

Daily invoicing

Monthly debtors reconciliation

Merchant approvals

Credit Check verification

Reviewing Merchant agreements and loading on accounting system.

Attending to Customers and colleagues queries and promoting a high level of customer service.

Processing monthly journals such as stock variances, revenue adjustments, etc

Review journal pack and take to manager for review and signature.

Prepare profit/loss report, review with comments (explanations where needed)

Monthly revenue forecast

Reconcile balance sheet balances in the trial balance to supporting documents such physical inventory on hand to system reporting schedules

Assist in Internal and external audit preparations and compilation of working paper files to support financial statements.

Assist in compiling monthly management reports for various departments.

Ensure classification and disclosure is correct for all accounting balances on the financial statements.

Prepare reports and workings for Activity Reporting.

Prepare workings for collections bimonthly, prepare monthly report and submit for financial reporting.

Compliance with corporate governance, procedures & Protocols

Adhoc projects as requested by management

Any Ad hoc duties as and when required.

Education:

Financial Accounting degree or equivalent qualification

Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in financial role.

Software: SAGE Evolution, MS Excel, Ms Word, Ms Outlook.

Bookkeeper to Balance Sheet.

Competencies and Skills:

Advance excel skills.

Solid accounting framework with proven track record.

Solid analytical and internal control skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team- oriented environment.

Assist in compiling monthly management reports for various departments.
