Senior Bookkeeper – Wartburg
Our reputable client is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Review of bank feeds for duplications and capture bank transactions where applicable
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Process and allocate supplier invoices
• Process customer invoices
• Undertake monthly supplier and debtor reconciliations
• Process journals relating to month-end transactions
• Reconcile loan accounts
• VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions
• Review monthly trial balances
• Prepare management accounts
• Calculate general financial ratios and interpret financial statements
• Reconciliation and processing of the cashbook
• Processing journal entries
• Dealing with loan accounts, intercompany transactions and maintaining the fixed asset register
• The payroll of between 40-50 staff with some paid fortnightly and some monthly
• Implementation of accounting system – Pastel or other integrations with back-office systems being SIGMA and Winbranch
• Financial Reporting System: Management Accounts, Asset Register, Sales Report, Accounts Reports
• Payroll System: staff payments and submissions
• Creditor System: Creditor Payments, Creditor Recons
• Transactional System: Bank Recons, Cash Ups and Recon Controls, GRVs, Claims, Stock Transfers, Wastage Entries, Recipe Costings entries and reports monthly
• Monthly Stock Take Valuations and Reporting
• Department-Specific Cash Flow Statement Report
• Provisional Tax Projection Model

• Relevant accounting qualification
• ± 10 – 15 years of Senior Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
• Capable of working for multiple entities and various businesses as well as personal bookkeeping for directors
• Must demonstrate the ability to create and develop independent systems to promote operational excellence
• Strong reporting skills and appreciation for confidentiality
• Must have own transport
• Must have the ability and means to work remotely
• Capable of training a team for the sustainability of the business
