Senior Bookkeeper (up to preparation of AFS) - Cape Town

SUMMARY:
We have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper (up to the preparation of AFS) with strong management Accountant knowledge! Blouberg area of Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

 Job Specification

Must be able to work in multiple companies

Compile Monthly and Annual Financial statements for multiple companies

PASTEL processing for multiple companies

Drafting of monthly management accounts and reports

VAT calculations and reconciliations

Salaries and Wages on Sage Payroll

Preparation of statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation

Assistance with SARS queries

Dealing with general queries

Petty Cash posting

Intercompany journals

Banking – for all companies, including loading of all payments

Bank recons for all companies

Liaison with Auditors

Legal books/accounting (business and trust account knowledge) (Legal Suite) advantageous

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Accounting experience

Bookkeeping up to the preparation of AFS - NON-negotiable!

Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience

Own reliable transport

PASTEL experience is essential

Computer literate in word, excel, and outlook

SARS e-filing and e@syfile experience is essential

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines

Work independently

Must be neat, organised, punctual, hardworking, and motivated

Attention to detail is essential

Work under pressure

Must be able to deliver

Must have contactable references

Must have a friendly and pleasant personality
