Senior Buyer - Chemical / Cleaning Industry

POSITION INFO:
My Client in the Chemical / Cleaning Industry is looking to employ a Senior Buyer - Eastrand area

Minimum requirements:

• Control Imports and Cross Border Purchasing
• Identify product need through production and sales
• Contact suppliers, request quotes and negotiate price and terms
• Identify correct Inco term and provide shipping details
• Alert clearing agent of incoming shipment and advise clearing
• Ensure SARS compliance instructions
• Responsible to plan / forecast, organise and control all aspects of procurement of goods
• Responsible for procuring raw materials, packaging, equipment
• To investigate and source new and alternative suppliers and products
• Responsible for expediting of order and reporting thereof to company
• Maintain records in accordance with established policies and recorded
• Sourcing from overseas suppliers and processing of appropriate documentation
• Stock buying / stock takes
• Monthly reports for management reporting
• Handle supplier on boarding – supplier desktop evaluation of each supplier to pass and comply before any business should commence basis as requested
