JOB SUMMARY:
The Role:

We are recruiting a Senior Buyer to join our team at Pinmill Farm.

The purpose of this role is  providing a service to customers by processing Quotes / Requisitions / Purchase Orders for the supply of products / goods and services, ensuring adequate / appropriate cost savings.

Qualification Required:

• Senior Certificate â?? Grade 12
• Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Management

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Advanced Program in Supply Chain Management    

Experience required:

• 10 years - Advanced experience in various procurement functions as well as cross functional experience in procurement related functional areas.                                

Project / Other:

• 5 - 10 yrs  good understanding of Project Environment        

Leadership    

• 2 yrs leadership skills to co-ordinate and facilitate successful material supply and completion of projects, as well as being able to manage workload and achieve goals.        

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Integrating Procurement in the project management process and project business teams at an early stage.
• Organizing, controlling and monitoring the procurement activities in the organization and in projects.
• Defining and Implementing procurement strategies that improve productivity and optimize the procurement.

Key Areas of Responsibility (not limited to)

• Purchase goods and services at the right quality, quantity, time, price and sources to maximize value for EOH and according to BBBEE guidelines and Procurement Policy                            
• Manage capable and secure supply base to delivery business needs through best procurement practices                            
• Deliver successful projects where nominated as the project leader or project member                            
• Support EOH common goals and vision by working with local and global team members, cross functional teams, other departments and functions to deliver on commitments.                            
• Identify procurement performance gaps based on balance scorecard targets and initiate and implement improvement ideas                            
• Initiate savings targets                            
• Liaison with suppliers and stakeholders in terms of queries, outstanding accounts and outstanding orders                            
• Compile and communicate accurate and timely operational reports and keep key stakeholders informed of sourcing/procurement status including updating relevant information systems.                            
• All such duties and/or activities assigned by management as and when required
• Ensure that contract pricing reviews occur timeously and that operational sourcing plans are developed and implemented accordingly                            
• Conduct sourcing activities and execute the negotiation activity relating to the portfolio in order to deliver favorable contracting agreements.
• Select negotiation or competitive bidding processes and develop negotiation strategy for the category/commodity suppliers
