Senior Buyer - Fresh Produce (Brackenfell)

• A commercial Tertiary qualification
• Extensive knowledge of Fruit and Vegetables and the procurement thereof
• Valid drivers license
• Accountable for:
• Procurement plan and growing programs in conjunction with National Buyer - Procurement
• Daily communication with suppliers regarding product availability, orders, purchase prices, deliveries, promotions / specials, packaging, problems and other supplier issues
• Monitoring orders placed by stores
• Placement of daily orders to suppliers as per growing program split
• Daily monitoring of product stock levels and quality in the DC
• Maintaining packaging stock levels with acceptable levels
• Checking invoices and GRV's for correct prices and quantities
• Recording daily intake, creates to be issued and slot times per product / supplier
• Adhering to Company policy on Buying and Trading procedures
• Any other trading administration duties
