SNR Buyer (Construction / Manufacturing) Midrand

Role Purpose:
The Senior Buyer will act as a point of contact for the relevant business units, using your Procurement expertise and problem-solving skills to advise and constructively challenge procurement activity to deliver timely procurement of goods and services whilst ensuring best value for money as well as contract and terms negotiations. Sourcing alternative options available
Key Responsibilities:

To manage procurement exercises from start to finish when allocated.
To collaborate with bill of quantity to establish procurement needs at an appropriate stage of project lifecycles and deliver effective compliant procurement exercises to deliver to time, quality and budget.
To manage supply chain effectively including contract management and support to Business Units, Functions & internal clients
To maintain a comprehensive and compliant audit trail of all procurement undertaken.
To liaise with suppliers to provide accurate, appropriate, and timely updates relating to Business units, Functions & internal clients.
To provide technical support and assistance to strategic Buying
To implement effective procurement frameworks & conduct procurement exercises end to end.
To implement procurement guidelines and apply to deliver business need
To manage compliance with statutory and good practice procurement guidelines
To assist, draft and execute tender documents & any other procurement documentation which deliver business requirements and achieve value for money
To liaise with transactional procurement team to ensure any issues arising from the Bill or Functions, are dealt with in a timely manner.
To proactively seek to maximise value for money while maintaining compliance with company procedures, and procurement regulations.
Escalate issues to Team, Procurement Lead or Head of Procurement
To provide procurement contract management and specification support to Business Units & internal clients.
To provide support if required on transactional and any operational duties at any level of the department
