Senior Designer (Civil and Structural) - Secunda

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Reports to Principal Civil/structural Engineer.

Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Responsible for supervision of junior designers and assisting of junior engineers with regard to detailing.

Responsible for receiving design information from engineers and producing 3D Models and work drawings in structural steel, reinforced concrete and Civil works.

A good knowledge of working to either national survey co-ordinates or site specific systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Special Qualities Or Experience Required:

Software: AutoCAD/MicroStation, Aveva E3D/PDMS.

Task and detail orientated, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete and Civil works related detailing, e.g. drainage works, earthworks, etc.

Previous experience in the Petrochemical industry is preferable but not essential.

Qualifications:

Essential Diploma in Civil Engineering with 6 to 10 years related experience.

Assignment duration: ±12 months
