SUMMARY:

Join our team as a Senior Claims Consultant with a focus on personal and commercial short-term insurance claims. Manage claims, liaise with stakeholders, ensure compliance, and provide mentorship to junior staff.

POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Senior Claims Consultant Reporting to: Claims Manager Seniority Level: Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp) Type: Permanent Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and settle personal and commercial short-term insurance claims
Operate within the binder agreements and handle claims settlement mandates
Liaise with insurers, clients, and service providers
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal processes
Provide support and guidance to junior claims staff
Maintain accurate records using Cardinal C360
Check and sign off on claims

Qualifications: RE 5, FETC In Short Term Insurance NQF 4, Matric, Class of Business - Personal Lines, Class of Business Commercial Lines Skills: 5 – 10 years of short-term insurance claims experience (personal & commercial lines), Solid Binder Broker experience with proven ability to manage claims settling mandates, Experience with Cardinal C360 system is required, Lives within a 15km radius of the office – proximity is key for this role
