SUMMARY:
Our client based in Randburg is seeking a skilled Senior Claims Handler to take ownership of complex commercial and personal lines claims. This role requires a confident professional who can deliver high-quality service, mentor junior staff, and ensure claims are resolved efficiently and accurately.

Salary - R35 000 per month

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Immediately available
Completed RE5 – essential
FAIS-compliant qualification (e.g., Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance) – preferred
5+ years' experience in claims handling/administration – Commercial & Personal Lines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
Strong MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong customer service orientation
? Responsibilities
Handle the full claims process from registration to finalization for motor and non-motor claims
Handle complex and high-value claims within mandate and escalate where necessary
Liaise regularly with brokers, insurers, assessors, and internal stakeholders
Provide guidance and support to junior claims staff (informal leadership or mentoring)
Ensure accurate documentation and file maintenance in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
Maintain a high standard of turnaround time and service delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in claims processing
