Duties:

Execution of potential transactions in support of the company’s corporate strategy
Screens proposals for initial review and prepares or oversees the preparation of preliminary review with a key focus on overall value assessment
Structuring, negotiating, and closing of transactions
Leading the due diligence process for approved transactions
Provides a Corporate Finance advisory service to the business clusters
Financial and economic analyses of proposed capital expenditure, investment, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, new product introductions and operating profit plans for an organisation
collects and analyses records of present and past operations, trends, and costs, estimated and realised revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses
Documents revenues and expenditures expected and submits to management

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom honours in accounting
CA(SA)

Experience:

Post articles completed
5-8 years post experience within a corporate finance environment
Experience within the private equity, leveraged finance or another deal-making role

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent knowledge of SA Companies Act
Being resilient
Advanced valuation skills
Good working knowledge of regulatory environment including the SA Insurance Act, Financial Sector Code, Insider trading regulations across various jurisdictions
Project management principles
