We are looking for a Senior Consultant: Engineering Project Manager for a 12 Month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Cape Town.

 

Overview:

The Senior Consultant: Engineering Project Manager will be working one or more projects servicing some of the companyâ??s clients. Must be willing to travel and be adaptable to changing environments involved in the consulting field.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Mining, Process, CI or similar
• Project Management Qualification i.e. PMP, MBA or similar
• We are looking for 15+ yearsâ?? experience in related field
• Must have 8+ yearsâ?? experience in a Project Management Role
• We will require your extensive work experience within the mining sector

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple multi-disciplinary projects according to client methodology
• Conduct all front-end-loading activities of projects, i.e. scoping, budgeting/costing and scheduling in conjunction with responsible engineers
• Prepare and present project support documentation for approval by Clientâ??s Capital Investment Committee
• Oversee and expedite all project procurement activities
• Conduct all project control (Scope, Cost and Schedule) activities
• Manage the project execution activities, risks and issues
• Oversee all project handover and close-out activities to final user/client
• Project risk management in a controlled environment
• Project integration and change management
• Quality management
• Procurement procedures
• Conflict management and negotiations
