POSITION INFO:

Our client, a leader in the Electrical Electronics Engineering industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team of Professional Engineers based on the Southern outskirts of Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.

PLEASE NOTE:

A benchmarked CTC Compensation Package of R 720K - R 840K per annum is on offer.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• To engage in cutting-edge projects, participate in system design, and play a pivotal role within their innovative engineering team.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• At minimum a BSc (Eng) / BEng degree in the Electrical/Electronics discipline is essential.
• At least 6 years'' experience in process automation. Relevant experience and familiarity with ABB 800xA & Freelance Control Systems is essential.
• Working knowledge and experience of Allen Bradley Control Systems, Batch, RS Logix will be essential.
• Experience in Control Systems using Batching software and S88 Software Structure.
• Willingness to traveling to customer sites.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compose comprehensive functional specifications and participate in system engineering.
• Create system architecture for various projects, tenders, and inquiries.
• Engage in programming for engineering, automation engineering, and system integration.
• Manage software configuration, staging, and site commissioning.
• Perform installations of both hardware and software, deliver maintenance services, and provide support.
• Take on engineering tasks as designated by the Engineering Manager.
