Senior Credit Controller

SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Credit Controller with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Our client is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join their finance team and take ownership of the credit control function while supervising a small team within the Hospitality industry.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the credit control team and related processes. Manage an allocated portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely collections. Maintain and update customer account information. Open and maintain new customer accounts where required. Perform monthly account reconciliations and month-end close processes. Proactively contact customers regarding outstanding accounts and resolve account queries. Ensure debtors' ageing remains within agreed targets. Process journals, invoices, account adjustments and customer charges. Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare month-end reports. Maintain accurate customer records and correspondence. Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to the broader finance team when required. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12). Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Credit Control or a related field will be advantageous. Minimum 10 years' experience in Credit Control, including experience in a Senior Credit Controller role. Strong knowledge of the full credit control function. Previous supervisory experience is essential. Experience within the hospitality, club or membership environment will be advantageous. Experience using accounting software (knowledge of Jonas Club Management software is beneficial). Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Honest, reliable and professional with excellent organisational skills.
