Senior Credit Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client, a JSE listed FMCG concern, currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller, who will be based in Pietermaritzburg.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Credit Management Level 2.
• Finance Degree/Diploma an advantage.
• Min 5 years’ experience in a Credit Controller role.
• Must have Management experience.
• Experience on MS Excel, Word and Syspro.

Duties and Responsivities include, but not limited to:

Debtors Control:

• Check customer’s credit ratings before opening an account for a customer.
• Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments.
• Maintain contact with external (customers and depots) and internal (finance, dispatch and sales) to ensure invoices are clear for payment.
• Resolve queries both internally (finance, dispatch and sales) and externally (customers and depots) around outstanding invoices, claims processing, age analysis and follow up.
• Post and allocate daily receipts to Syspro. Post and email debtors statements monthly. Post breakdown of journals to debtors’ deductions.
• Provide accounts information to management.
• Month end reporting.

Websites and Portals:

• Upload invoices and statements to the various portals of major National Retailers.
• Download invoices, remittances and claims.
