A highly respected client is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to bring deep analytical expertise and strategic insight to their investment risk management team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence multi-billion-rand investment portfolios through rigorous credit risk assessments and impactful recommendations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, quantifying, and reporting on various forms of credit risk—including pricing, volatility, and interest rate risk—across both listed and unlisted credit. They will also play a key advisory role to investment teams, guiding pricing terms, structuring strategies, and risk mitigation solutions.

Key requirements:

A postgraduate degree in commerce, science, engineering, or a related discipline
CFA, FRM, CAIA, or CA(SA) qualifications are highly advantageous
6–8 years’ experience in investment risk management
Strong understanding of credit risk principles and financial market dynamics
Proven experience in preparing credit reports, assigning credit risk ratings, and making sound investment recommendations
Leadership capability to mentor junior team members and contribute to risk research initiatives
