Senior Credit Risk Analyst

SUMMARY:
Are you a specialist Credit Risk Analyst within the Financial Services Industry? Come and join a JSE Listed company that dominates within their space! You will be responsible for two junior Analysts and take ownership of the entire credit risk cycle. Bring your experience modelling with SQL and SAS.

POSITION INFO:

Design improved strategies / processes that will outperform previous strategies / processes

Recommend and implement appropriate champion / challenger strategies to continually improve portfolio profitability

Forecasting of key metrics relating to portfolio and operations

Make appropriate recommendations to address unfavourable variances

Develop and drive project plans for major initiatives including securing resources to ensure its on-time, within budget and to-quality implementation

Prove the business effectiveness and/or efficiency of analytically driven implementations

Coach and mentor Junior Analyst and Graduates

Align Risk Operations Strategy implementations to resourcing requirements to ensure they are on-time, within budget and to the required standards

Oversee and ensure that analytics are performed to the required standards

Skills & Experience:

Knowledge and application of credit scoring and risk management techniques across the entire credit life cycle on consumer portfolios

Understanding of financial metrics in relation to portfolio management and the associated forecasting thereof

High level of PC Literacy ideally with the experience using SQL and SAS

Knowledge of Python and Modelling Techniques highly advantageous

Proficient Excel skills ideally using Macros

Ability to cross check data integrity after an initial validation exercise

Qualification:

University Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management or equivalent
