Senior Credit Scoring Manager

POSITION INFO:

In this senior role, you will lead end-to-end credit scoring initiatives, combining deep analytical expertise with strong commercial and client-facing capability. You’ll oversee multiple engagements, advise stakeholders on credit risk strategy, and drive delivery excellence while developing high-performing analytical teams.
This position sits at the forefront of credit risk modelling, regulatory innovation, and strategic decision-making.

Influence credit risk and scoring strategies at enterprise level
Lead complex scoring and modelling engagements from concept to delivery
Act as a senior advisor to clients on credit risk optimisation
Grow and mentor specialist analysts and consultants
Contribute to thought leadership and regulatory best practices

Job Description:
Lead end-to-end credit scorecard and credit risk model development
Design and shape credit scoring strategies aligned to business and regulatory requirements
Manage multiple concurrent client engagements, ensuring quality, timelines, and commercial objectives are met
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on credit risk and scoring best practice
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing analytical teams
Support business development activities, proposals, and long-term client relationships
Stay current with industry, regulatory, and methodological developments and contribute to thought leadership

Skills & Experience:
Honours degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Science, or a similar quantitative discipline
Minimum 5–8+ years’ experience in credit risk modelling and scorecard development
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior, leadership, project management, or consulting role
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
Practical experience with regulatory frameworks such as Basel and IFRS 9
Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, and SQL
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
