JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Senior Customs and Excise Specialist
Location: Johannesburg North, Gauteng
Salary: R 800 000.00 - R 1 100 000.00 per annum

Company and Job Description:
This multinational brand in the Oil and Gas industry is expanding their team and they are looking for a Customs and Excise Specialist to join their team! This role will have 2 people reporting into them as well as provide support to other functions. This company is one of the biggest petroleum manufacturing entities in the world with many subsidiaries of which the incumbent will be responsible for. This opportunity will provide you the chance to work with a world class team as well as large names in the industry.

Job Description:

Preparation of policies and processes relating to customs and excise, and levies.
Completion and renewals of all customs and excise licenses.
Registrations as outlined in the Customs and Excise Act and Petroleum Products Act.
Ensuring that all facilities comply with Customs and Excise Act.
Conduct training on customs and excise amendments.
Keep abreast with customs and excise, and other tax amendments and modernizations.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

BCom Accounting or Taxation is essential
Postgraduate in Taxation is highly beneficial
7-8 years’ experience in excise and customs tax
SAP experience is highly beneficial
