SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data and BI Developer to join their team. They specialise in data-driven digital solutions across multiple industries. This opportunity allows you to work on cutting-edge Microsoft data platforms while collaborating directly with customers to deliver impactful business intelligence solutions.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in data development and business intelligence
- Strong SQL Server skills (SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS)
- Proven expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and dashboard/report design)
- Hands-on experience building cloud data solutions in Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Analysis Services)
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL workflows and performance tuning
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative, customer-facing environment
- Experience working in Agile development teams (e.g., Jira and Confluence)
- Willingness to travel periodically for customer meetings
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (advantageous):
- Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud platforms (Google BigQuery, Snowflake, and AWS)
- Advanced analytics or machine learning exposure
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
Responsibilities:- Architect, design, and deliver BI solutions using Microsoft Azure and Power BI
- Develop robust data pipelines, transformations, integrations, and models
- Engage with customers to gather requirements and turn data into actionable insights
- Lead and support junior team members in best-practice data delivery
- Optimise workflows for performance, governance, and scalability
- Contribute to cloud adoption, modernisation, and automation initiatives
- Ensure a high standard of quality, reliability, and documentation
- Stay current with evolving Microsoft technologies and leverage new features
