Senior Data Analyst

A fine eye for detail coupled with minimum of 4 years experience as a Data Analyst and deep understanding of data analysis tools and databases is required for this role.

Requirements

• Degree in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Maths, Analytics or related field.
• Strong SQL or Python skills.
• Experience working with large data sets and relational databases.
• Collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both colleagues and clients.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze issues, identify causes and recommend solutions quickly.
• Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau (create data visualizations).

Responsibilities:

• Working with technology team and management.
• Mining data from primary and secondary sources.
• Cleaning and dissecting data to get rid of irrelevant information.
• Analyzing and interpreting results using statistical tools and techniques.
• Pinpointing trends and patterns in data sets.
• Managing users and user roles.
• Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
• Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
• Helping develop reports and analysis.
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Identifying new opportunities for process improvement.
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
• Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
• Fixing code problems and data-related issues.
• Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
• Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
