JOB SUMMARY:
Our client an innovative, dynamic software development concern seeks a highly detail orientated Data Analyst to join their team. You will take responsibility for managing and troubleshooting data issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A fine eye for detail coupled with minimum of 4 years experience as a Data Analyst and deep understanding of data analysis tools and databases is required for this role.

Requirements

Degree in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Maths, Analytics or related field.
Strong SQL or Python skills.
Experience working with large data sets and relational databases.
Collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both colleagues and clients.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze issues, identify causes and recommend solutions quickly.
Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau (create data visualizations).
Extraction and data preparation capabilities.
Outstanding quantitative skill set.
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
Analytical mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Good communication skills.
Ability to function in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Working with technology team and management.
Mining data from primary and secondary sources.
Cleaning and dissecting data to get rid of irrelevant information.
Analyzing and interpreting results using statistical tools and techniques.
Pinpointing trends and patterns in data sets.
Managing users and user roles.
Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
Helping develop reports and analysis.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Identifying new opportunities for process improvement.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Fixing code problems and data-related issues.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
