SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading organisation in the product and software development industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team based in Century City, Cape Town. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex data initiatives, shaping the way data is structured, processed, and leveraged across the business.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop and optimize data models, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Implement best practices for data governance, performance, and security.
- Utilize modern cloud platforms and data technologies to support innovation.
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer, including senior-level responsibilities.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in Azure cloud platform.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Spark, Kafka, or Snowflake.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing.
- Strong problem-solving ability and effective communication skills.
