About the Role

WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a high-growth consulting firm to hire a strategic and experienced Senior Data Science Consultant. This is a hybrid role ideal for professionals who enjoy blending technical acumen with client engagement. You’ll design and lead impactful data science projects while advising clients on how to derive commercial value from analytics and alternative data.

You’ll work closely with internal consulting and sales teams, leading analytics initiatives from scoping to delivery, and mentoring junior data scientists. This is a strategic role where your work directly influences client outcomes and the advancement of data intelligence solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science (Postgrad preferred)

• 7+ years of experience in senior data science roles

• 3+ years of experience in consulting, with client-facing exposure

• Strong Python and SQL programming skills

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

• Experience designing data pipelines and predictive models

• Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning

• Working knowledge of PySpark and Apache Spark (especially in Azure Synapse)

• Familiarity with Synapse Pipelines, Databricks, Delta Lake, and modern data lakehouse technologies

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with credit risk or pricing models in financial services

• Experience managing and mentoring teams

• Familiarity with orchestration tools and API integrations

• Experience defining KPIs and building performance dashboards

• Previous exposure to fast-paced consulting environments
