A leading financial services group is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and optimise enterprise-level data warehouse solutions. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders and delivering high-quality reporting and analytics in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION INFO:
Data Warehouse Design & Development:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data warehouse solutions
Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data flows
Configure real-time data replication from source systems using tools such as Stelo SQDR
Convert legacy Excel-based reporting into Power BI solutions
Develop professional dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation of data to source systems
Reporting & Analytics:
Develop Power BI solutions from high-level technical and business requirements
Perform quality assurance on new reporting functionality
Communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proactively identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
Governance & Support:
Promote data governance principles, standards, and best practices
Ensure compliance with data security and confidentiality requirements
Participate in operational support, troubleshooting data and reporting issues
Produce and maintain documentation for developed solutions
Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and technical stakeholders
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Contribute to continuous innovation and improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience:
Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise
Power BI development and data visualisation skills
ETL/ELT design and development experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-year Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Data Warehouse Developer or similar role
Introductory Cloud Certification (Advantageous)
Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, data modelling (Kimball/Inmon)
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) advantageous
