Senior Database Administrator (MCDDA) IT Technology

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a dynamic IT Company based in JHB North is seeking to employ a Senior Database Administrator/MDCBA Microsoft Certified Database Administrator

Database maintenance including building of indexes, scheduled jobs, clearing locks, space management and back ups.
maintain backups and restore databases
Maintain database access
Database restore, deployment and structural changes

Assist with the writing of TSQL code

Experience

5 - 8 years
In-depth knowledge of MS SQL db replication and SQL Always On

Skills

Self managed and driven individual with the ability to resolve challenges and problem solutoner
Good communication skills

Ability to manage conflict, ability to lead a small team of database administrators
Ability to design and impelement database solutions for clients

Knowledge

MSL Server, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting Services
SQL Always On
SQL Mirroring, replication and log shipping management of files and files graphs, table archiving and partitioning, SQL DR technologies
SQL Back up and Restore

Essential

MDCBA Microsoft Certified Database Administrator

Qualifications

B Tech, B Com or BSc Computer Science or Information Systems or B Eng
