Our client in Johannesburg South’s buzzing manufacturing sector is on the hunt for someone who can chase payments faster than a conveyor belt at full speed!

POSITION INFO:

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Analyse bank statement and customer accounts
Capture and allocate payments
Collect payments
Customer queries and statements
Communicate with management to resolve payment issues
Minimize bad debt losses, including blocking and unblocking customer accounts
Provide commentary on the age analysis
Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable, credit risk assessment and set appropriate credit limits
Credit notes
Manage the debtors order hold process
Escalate non-payment issues
Manage daily COD accounts and request credits (claims)
Prepare inter-company customer receipts refund requests
Liaise with the bank to confirm incoming cross-border customer payments

Education Requirements:

Completed Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance

Job Requirements and Skills:

3 to 5 years' experience as a Debtors Clerk/Controller
Proficient in MS packages
Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting
Deadline driven
Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
Team player
