Senior Demand Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments and categorizes commodities to ensure budget alignment.
• Compile procurement plans for operational and capital projects in line with National Treasury guidelines.
• Review and refine specifications and terms of reference for compliance with regulations.
• Conduct market analysis and price benchmarking to support cost-effective procurement.
• Develop and maintain commodity price lists for acquisition benchmarking.
• Advise on sourcing strategies and procurement best practices.
• Manage and report on the performance of procurement plans monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Provide support in bid and quotation processes, ensuring compliance with SCM prescripts.
• Supervise Demand Officers, ensuring the effectiveness of demand management practices.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and all relevant SCM frameworks.

• Qualifications:
• Essential: National Diploma in Supply Chain, Economics, or Finance.
• Desirable: Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, or Finance.
• Experience:
• 4–5 years of experience in demand management and procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of market analysis, procurement regulations, and SAP systems.
• Skills:
• Strategic planning, analytical problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
• Expertise in demand management policies, procurement compliance, and financial regulations.
