Senior Developer

SUMMARY:

We are looking for passionate, and talented full-stack engineers who have the experience building innovative, mission-critical customer-facing applications. In this role, you will assist developing our platform to enable insurers, banks, and brokers globally to innovate at record speed while leveraging their existing IT architecture. This is a rapidly evolving space, and we are looking for engineers who are comfortable working with various disciplines to deliver best-in-class, re-usable, and scalable UI solutions to our customers. You are used to delivering software in a multi-disciplinary team, in a multi-location product organisation. 

POSITION INFO:
Key Deliverables:


·        Review and advise any modifications and enhancements to the Briisk cloud platform.  
·        Review changes to the platform, whether code or cloud platform related.  
·        Manage, monitor, reporting and support the core Briisk platform solution end to end 
·        Oversee architectural decisions to align with the best practices in cloud computing architecture 
·        Set up and regularly review coding and architectural standards and ensure that any platform development adheres to these standards 
·        Ensure the platform is compliant with the latest security and compliance regulations for all countries in which Briisk operates. 
·        Manage and mentor the development, systems administration (cloud), and Briisk platform configuration teams 
·        Support Business to translate business requirements for enhancements and bug fixes into the technical solutions and assist in the planning thereof accordingly. 
·        Enhance the current DevOps tools and development process to assist Briisk with rapid scaling  
·        Advise third parties on the integration with the Briisk platform. 
·        Oversee information architecture elements spanning across the application, data, and supporting technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance 
·        Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage 
·        Assist with the analysis of the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise on actions 
·        Assist in the preparation of Business Cases and presentation to stakeholders around IT strategy and potential tools and software 
·        Documentation of system procedures and supporting value chain processes  
·        Remedial action and plans for when things go wrong (security breach, critical system failure, etc) 
·        Provide assistance to the quality assurance team.

Requirements:


Net Core and Azure Web developer/technical lead:  
 
1.      10+ years’ experience in delivering enterprise-level solutions. 
2.      At least 5 years in the insurance industry 
3.      Experience leading teams of developers, mentoring, coaching, advising, and reviewing delivery for developer team, both on a technical level and team dynamics level 
4.      At least 3 years of Azure web development with Azure administration experience and show a good understand and experience with modern Azure-serverless architecture. 
5.      Azure DevOps and the automation of build and deployment process and experience in complex Deployments and Releases 
6.      Expert knowledge of GIT branching, merging and pull request process, and code review process. 
7.      At least 5 years’ experience on the Microsoft technology stack including Visual Studio/Code, C#, .Net and .Net Core, SQL server, etc along with React or Angular front-end development. 
8.      Expert knowledge of HTML/ JavaScript/ Typescript / CSS / JSON/ XML / XSLT 
9.      Architecture qualification a bonus 
10.  Proven capability to draft technical documentation, technical specifications based on Functional and Business Requirement Specifications. 
11.  Strong testing and problem-solving skills. 
12.  Excellent English and communication skills 
13.  5 years’ experience working with remote teams in an Agile environment.
