SUMMARY:
Excellent Senior Divisional Financial Manager Opportunity, FMCG Food industry, Eastern Cape, Willingness to relocate to PE (R800K to R 1.4M, highly negotiable)
POSITION INFO:
Our Client, a national blue-chip leader in the FMCG Food industry, with plant offices based in Kariega, (previously Uitenhage), Eastern Cape, is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Divisional Financial Manager.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- Report directly to the Head of Finance – Commercial Division
- Responsible for managing the division’s financial activities
- Ensuring management is held accountable for results.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Must have a tertiary qualification (BCom Honours or equivalent),
- OR a Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Financial Management or equivalent
- A CIMA or CMA or CA(SA) will enjoy a distinct advantage
- A minimum of 5-8 years’ FMCG Manufacturing environment experience
- A minimum of 4 years as financial manager
- Highly computer literate.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as the Financial Manager of a company in the Manufacturing or Food & Beverage sector.
- Strong Analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good reporting skills
- Adaptability and ability to work with diverse group of people.
- Strong leadership skills
- Advanced computer skills (especially in MS Excel)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Implement solid financial controls within the division.
- Ensure accurate production stock controls are maintained, verification systems in place and reported on.
- Control product costings, approval, and reporting processes
- Ensure proper accounting around the yield
- Manage inventory within the agreed values by procurement division.
- Ensure that strong controls and processes are applied over tender & supplier evaluation.
- Submit weekly forecast and compile monthly management accounts and reports highlighting deviations to management.
- Prepare and review annual budgetary process.
- Ensure that there are no significant control weaknesses in the divisions with respect to the balance sheet.
