POSITION INFO:
We're currently seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a key role offering the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding projects in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
Role Overview:
The Senior EC&I Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems on large-scale industrial projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of EC&I systems for industrial or infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed engineering documents: specifications, datasheets, drawings, and schedules
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations (e.g., HAZOP and SIL)
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and handover processes
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance
- Mentor Junior Engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements:- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in EC&I engineering
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, BS, ATEX, and NEC)
- Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or AVEVA
- Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation selection
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
- Chartered status or working towards it (desirable)
