Senior Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Run and oversee the design of Prestigious Commercial Electrical Building Services Projects both Nationally and Internationally. An exciting and career changing opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious Engineer to work for one of the most prestigious and diverse international consulting company in South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Design of Electrical Building Services including power and lighting, single line diagrams, reticulation, generators and UPS

Marketing of the Consulting Engineering firm as well as networking to clients and attend client meetings

Managing project finances regarding hourly forecasting, WIP and invoicing

Co-ordinating and working with a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers on a project including design processes

Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm

Preparing accurate and concise designs

Design calculations, budgets, and tender specification creation

Managing project financial control, mange construction monitoring and project management throughout all stages of a project life cycle

Commercial and Industrial Private Project experience

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years consulting engineering experience within the Building Services sector

Proven track record in business development

Excellent communication skills (English) and including report writing abilities

Thorough knowledge of SANS10142-1&2, SANS10139, SANS10400 and SANS204

Depth of experience of various building contracts (i.e., JBCC, Fidic, NEC, etc.)

Knowledge and experience with Autodesk BIM (Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Field, etc.) and CAD software

Knowledge and experience with Relux and/ or Dialux, CBi and/ or Ecodial and/or Amtech

A good knowledge of the latest technologies within the building services industry

Willingness to travel within RSA and Africa with a valid RSA Passport

Qualification:

BSc/ BEng. or BTech in Electrical Engineering

Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech. Eng. (Essential)

SAQCC Registered for Design (Preferably)
