A leading marine manufacturer is looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Technician to join its engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on complex marine electrical systems, supporting vessel production from installation through commissioning while driving quality, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. POSITION INFO:
Job Description Provide technical support throughout the installation, testing, and commissioning of marine electrical systems Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults to ensure high-quality vessel builds Configure and commission electrical and electronic equipment Support production teams by resolving technical issues and improving manufacturing processes Review electrical drawings and assist with engineering changes where required Drive quality improvements and support new product development Mentor technicians and promote best engineering practices across the production environment Skills and Experience 5+ years' experience working within the marine industry Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, commissioning, and fault finding Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and quality inspections Exposure to PLCs, marine electronics, or digital control systems will be advantageous Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills Qualifications Red Seal Electrician or Mechatronics qualification Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
