  POSITION INFO:
  

  We are looking for Sr Engineer in the Process Planning Maintenance division for our client in Boksburg that offers filtration solutions, developing products that keep people, the environment, and machines healthy.

  You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for determining the means of manufacturing for air intake system, air cleaner, air filters to the required level.
  • Ensuring that within a designated area the necessary engineering solutions are developed relating to layout, material handling, tooling, equipment / facilities, process and quality.
  • You will manage the maintenance activities during the serial production.
  • Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Mechatronics with minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Hands on experience in manufacturing process planning, Assembly line establishment, SPM / Equipment development.
  • Hands on experience in Assembly and Joining process like Torqueing, Hot and cold pressing and Plastic welding’s.
  • Knowledge in Plastic Joining process, component manufacturing, assembly process and Machining.
  • QMS ISO –TS 16949, EMS requirements
  • Language criteria: English and local language
  • Knowledge on handling IATF16949 and ISO 14001 45001 requirements
  • Review of manufacturing concept, packaging concepts, process layout based on product design.
  • Design review of products for manufacturing and testing feasibility.
  • Prepare machine / SPM/fixture specifications for assembly and testing of products.
  • Responsible for maintaining cycle time, schedule and quality throughout the developments as planned in initial stage.
  • Hands on experience in Assembly and Joining process like Torqueing, Hot and cold pressing and plastic welding’s.
  • Design review and participate in development of equipment’s, SPM and Fixtures.
  • Establishment of manufacturing process, qualification, and commission of machines and SPMS through DOE, Process capability studies and GRR.
  • Responsible for pre-series production and production with Run @ Rate.
  • Preparing of PFMEA, process flow, control plan, and work instruction and PPAP documents for assembly process.
  • Working experience in SAP, AutoCAD, MS project is an advantage.
  • TS 16949 awareness
  • Conducting on-job training for production associates while handing over of projects
  • Process knowledge in filter manufacturing is added advantage.
  • Ensure and maintain of all records as per ISO / TS / EMS Standards
  • To complement the IATF 16949, ISO 14001 45001 system of Dept.
  • Make sure meet the IATF 16949, ISO 14001 45001 management / company requirement.
  • Ensure that all technical processes in the plant are reliable, cost-effective and meet the M+H standards.
  • Ensure that the spare parts for the machines and equipment needed during the production process are available.
  • Initiate, implement and coordinate all Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes in the plant.
  • Control the machine and technical equipment within the M+H production plant and ensure that all facilities are properly maintained during the serial production.
  • Manage the maintenance activities and ensure that all technical standards and requirements are met.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for the machine equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage the spare parts warehouse for the machines and equipment and ensure their availability during the production process.
  • Manage the cost budget for the machines, equipment and spare parts.
  • Initiate corrective actions in case of deviations and coordinate the corrective activities.
