Senior Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation

SUMMARY:
My client situated primarily in Mpumalanga provides among others multi-disciplinary design and project execution services, to the Petro-Chemical Industry. Must be willing to relocate to Secunda.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of a B Eng/BSc Eng degree. A degree in chemical, electronic, mechatronic or electrical discipline would be preferred. 
• At least 7 years’ experience as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer within the Petrochemical environment
• Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage the company’s Control and Instrumentation business, be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, good interpersonal relations, hands-on experience or proper exposure to the implementation of own designs.  Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples.
• First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done.  Be able to share by means of examples.
• Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services
• Good report writing skills in the English language.
• Organized and self-disciplined.
• Successful in conducting business in all aspects mentioned below.
• Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B/EB).

Work Description:

• Management of the Control and Instrumentation business.
• Handling technical and engineering challenges that may arise from instrumentation field work being carried out. 
• Drafting of technical specifications for procurement of services and equipment from suppliers. 
• Managing the work load, resource loading, client relations, profitability and quality of work produced in the group.
