Senior Engineer/Technologist – Roads
Position (Permanent – Based in PMB / Durban):
Senior Engineer/Technologist – Roads
Minimum Qualification:
• BSc/BEng/BTech in civil engineering
• Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
• Pr CPM/Pr PMP will be an added advantage
Skills:
• Min. 5 years’ experience in the design and administering of road projects
• National highways and Provincial road design experience would be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Preferred software experience in Civil Designer, AutoCAD, MS Projects, MS Office and Bill
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Organise and manage design teams
• Ability to train and mentor team members within project time constraints
• Conceptualise and define project scope for projects
• Facilitate site investigations for projects
• Liaison with relevant stakeholders viz. Municipalities, Parastatals and other Service Providers
• Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed designs and reports
• Prepare project specifications
• Check designs, drawings, schedules, estimates and tender documentation prepared by the design team
• Attend site and technical meetings
Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system ISO9001:2015
