SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a Senior Engineering Geologist has become available in the Pietermaritzburg office. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacancy. The candidate will report to the Principal Engineering Geologist.

POSITION INFO:

Experience and Skills

The candidate must:

Have a Professional Registration,
Have a BSc in Engineering Geology, or a BSc in Geology together with a post-graduate qualification in either Engineering Geology or a Geotechnical subject,
Have a minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience,
Be prepared to work internationally in countries outside of South Africa,
A significant amount of field experience would be an advantage,
Have a valid driver’s license.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate’s duties and responsibilities are:

To carry out engineering geology fieldwork and fieldwork supervision in South Africa and internationally,
To analyze and interpret engineering geological data,
To prepare stand-alone engineering geological reports and/or engineering geological input for reports.
