SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a specialist with 10 or more years in a similar role specifically, within the resources/infrastructure industry. Your expertise will include the ability to compile proposals and project manage multi-disciplinary environmental projects

POSITION INFO:

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Post Graduate degree in Environmental Management or similar
A project Management Certificate would be beneficial
10 or more years in a similar role specifically within the resources/infrastructure industry
Willing to travel locally and internationally, including the rest of Africa
Professional Registration would be beneficial. (e.g. EAPASA)
Understanding of applicable environmental and social legislation
Understanding and practical experience with environmental authorisation processes
Superior EIA and EMP report writing
Proven experience in large Project Managing environmental and social processes
Proven experience in managing a Project team
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (Both verbal and written)
Strong customer orientation.
Excellent presentation skills
Superior organisation skills

Key Role Responsibilities

Effectively project manage the environmental legislative processes applicable to the relevant country
Maintain an awareness of country applicable legislation and the potential impact on the various projects
Ensure the team maintains a high-quality standard in the services provided and in the deliverables produced
Participate in marketing the company and bringing in new business/projects
Effectively manage tasks relating to team management which includes
Resource allocation and workload forecasting
Effectively manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day office administration
Budget and revenue forecasting
Project budgets and schedules;
Effectively project supervise Environmental Impact Assessments according to the relevant legislation, Environmental Permitting, Mining Applications
Working in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines
Compile and write reports for submission to the client and necessary authorities
