SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Airfreight Export Controller to join a well-established logistics company.

POSITION INFO:
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong export knowledge and the ability to manage airfreight shipments efficiently from start to finish.

Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
Minimum of 5 years in Freight Forwarding and Clearing air exports experience (not Courier).
IATA DGR Certification.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Excellent administration skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong planning and organisational abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate airfreight export consignments according to shipper instructions.
Prepare and verify customs and airline documentation accurately and on time.
Manage cargo bookings, shipment records, and CargoWise data entry.
Communicate with clients and overseas agents regarding shipment progress or issues.
Ensure pre-alerts, uplift confirmations and PODs are obtained and dispatched promptly.
Handle dangerous goods, short shipments, damages, and losses as required.
Support invoice preparation and maintain accurate shipment documentation.
Provide general administrative support and apply knowledge of duty drawbacks.
