Senior Exports Coordinator - Africa - Chemical Manufacturing Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-established and leading international speciality chemical supplier requires the above to be responsible for the full Export function from receiving customer queries to order delivery at the required end destination.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Shipping or Exports or related is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience having worked as an Exports Logistics Administrator or related within the African markets is essential.
• Previous experience having dealt with third part Logistics companies and processing orders is essential.
• Previous experience having worked with Shipping or INCO terms is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within the Chemical Manufacturing or Distribution or related industries is essential.
• Previous experience working with an ERP System is essential, whilst experience working on JD Edwards or related is preferred.
• Previous Exports experience within the Subsaharan African markets is essential.
• Computer literacy with good Excel skills and an ability to work with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables are essential.
• Must be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
• The successful candidate must have strong administration skills and an attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of current export activities as well as evaluating local and international export practices.
• Controlling and monitoring all contracts and SLA’s with export 3PL’s.
• Negotiating annual rate increases with export 3PL’s to ensure favourable agreements are reached.
• Ensuring the full export function complies with local and international policies and regulations at all times.
• Providing support and training on all Export activities as required.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
