SUMMARY:
Senior Faculative Reinsurance Broker

POSITION INFO:

• The position itself is for either a Senior Broker or Head of Fac - depending on technical and management experience.
• Report to MD
• Generating New Business for the Company (mainly facultative), primarily, in the RSA or rest of Africa
• Having a defined strategy for growth and servicing existing client base
• Need to have a hunger for new business, as well as renewing business
• Working to a budget
• Client servicing (as a whole)
• Sound technical skills with a good understanding of underwriting and reinsurance
• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with both clients and reinsurers
• Gather information from clients and reinsurers for renewal negotiations
• Marketing and networking with new, existing and potential clients
• Assist with pladcing slips, cover notes and wordings
• Travel to territories where the company wishes to conduct business, and service and entertain both clients and markets accordingly
