POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity:
A leading name in the energy infrastructure space is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to take charge of the numbers—and the strategy behind them. This isn’t just another reporting role. You’ll be working closely with senior leadership, shaping financial decisions that directly impact multi-billion Rand assets. Project finance, cash strategy, Board presentations, and stakeholder wrangling? All in a day's work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Running the full finance function for large-scale infrastructure projects
• Keeping reporting sharp, accurate, and fully IFRS-compliant
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process (and making sure it actually aligns with reality)
• Managing debt, treasury, and complex funding structures
• Handling shareholder payments, lender reports, and dividend flows
• Keeping tax compliance watertight (VAT, income tax, the works)
• Owning the audit process from start to finish
• Working with internal teams and external players—from Eskom to the Reserve Bank
• Maintaining and improving financial models (this is a core part of the job, not a nice-to-have)
• Managing and mentoring a small finance team while keeping systems, controls, and governance tight

• CA(SA) accreditation is essential
• 8 + years post-articles experience is essential
• A pro at financial modelling—you can build, interpret, and adapt complex models with ease
• Comfortable with project finance structures, IPPs, and funding agreements
• Tech-savvy with solid Excel and ERP system skills
• Confident communicator—you’ll be presenting to boards, banks, and external authorities
