Senior Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a global leader in its niche, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Manager to play a key strategic role in bridging their South African finance operations with their US Market. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of transactional accountants while driving financial excellence, reporting accuracy, and commercial insight across multiple regions. We are looking for a seasoned financed professional with a relevant finance/accounting qualification and 7-10 years of post-article experience, ideally gained in a fast-paced, complex environment. POSITION INFO:

As the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities could include the following:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transactional accountants
Drive a high team performance through coaching, development, and clear goal setting
Ensure accurate and timely month-end close through strong workflow oversight
Oversee full financial function including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis
Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting
Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements (SAIPA/SAICA experience advantageous)
Act as the financial bridge between South Africa and the US finance and executive teams
Align reporting formats, financial processes, and controls across international entities
Lead the integration of financial practices to ensure consistent global standards
Partner with business leaders to support strategic decision-making and drive profitability
Analyse trends and provide insight into production costs, project margins, and operational efficiency
Support executive leadership with business cases, scenario modelling, and CAPEX approvals
Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial procedures across the business
Drive process improvement and system optimisation to support scalability and efficiency
Ensure audit readiness and manage external audit engagements
Respond effectively to evolving business needs and changing priorities
Lead change initiatives in finance, including digital transformation projects and new reporting requirements

Skills & Experience:
7-10 years of commercial experience
Proficiency in SAP and MSD
Team management experience

Qualification:
Relevant Accounting or Finance Degree
Completed Matric
