SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to appoint 1 Senior Finance Manager in their Finance Division on a fixed-term basis for a period of twelve (12) months. The successful candidate will be on the client's payroll.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the job:

To manage the overall financial management, ensure financial reporting in line with the GRAP statements and compliance with PFMA and liaise with internal and external auditors (Auditor General) during the audit process.

Required qualifications and work experience

CA (SA) and post graduate degree in accounting and finance with professional membership.
5 years’ experience in a senior management role.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Supplier Payments
Design and implement internal controls for the NLC
Manage the Trial Balance and accounts
Provide support to divisions, departments and provinces on Finance related matters
Management of audits- AG and internal audit relating to finance matters
Preparation of consolidated NLC Financial statements in line with GRAP
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
Cash flow management
Manage the Revenue for the NLC
Manage the assets of the National Lotteries Commission
People Management
Management of payroll
Compilation and monitoring of divisional and provincial budget

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Knowledge of the Lotteries Act and regulations
Knowledge of the PFMA requirements
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices
Sound decision-making ability
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong, problem solving and analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
People management skills
Stakeholder relations
Strategic thinking skills
