Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee and manage financial reporting for project-based accounting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, project budgets, and forecasts, providing detailed insights and recommendations to senior management.
Work with large data sets to track project performance, identify trends, and ensure financial control.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure financial objectives are met and projects remain within budget.
Provide strategic financial support on long-term and short-term projects, offering guidance and data-driven decision-making.
Manage and optimize financial systems, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across multiple projects.

Experience and Skills Required

CA(SA) – Chartered Accountant (South Africa)
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, preferably in project-based accounting within engineering, construction, logistics, or mining sectors (Financial Services experience will not be considered).
Strong expertise in working with large data sets and conducting detailed financial analysis.
Excellent understanding of project-based financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
