🌍 The Opportunity:
A well-established organisation based in Graaff-Reinet is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions while leading and developing a team within a dynamic environment. In this role, you will oversee the fixed assets, accounts payable, treasury, and month-end reporting — ensuring that every process is delivered with precision and integrity.

This is an opportunity for a strong, hands-on Accountant who is ready to bring structure to complexity, elevate team performance, and strengthen the organisation’s financial backbone from the ground up.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full fixed asset function, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance
• Oversee the accounts payable process with strong controls and efficiency
• Take ownership of the cashbooks and treasury operations to ensure accurate cash management
• Drive the month-end close process and produce reliable financial reporting
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8 direct reports — fostering accountability and growth
• Implement and refine processes to improve financial accuracy and operational flow
• Support internal and external audits through structured and transparent reporting
• Apply systems knowledge to streamline accounting workflows

• Completed BCom Degree (minimum requirement)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience, with 3–5 years within accounting functions
• Strong technical experience across: Fixed assets, accounts payable, cashbooks / treasury, and month-end reporting
• Proven team management experience (8 direct reports)
• System exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous
• A leadership approach grounded in accuracy, structure, and developing people
