SUMMARY:
Senior Financial Accountant (CA)

POSITION INFO:

A vacancy exists for a 12 month fixed term contract for Senior Financial Accountant reporting to a Finance Manager – at a well reputed Private Hospital group.

Monitoring of head office income and expenses against budget and understand reasons for variances
Review of board packs
Review of intercompany and shareholder loan accounts including interest calculations
Review of creditor recons
Prepare relevant schedules for subsidiary annual financial statement drafting
Oversee corporate credit card function
Responsible for reviewing of accounting reconciliations and resolving of reconciling items in relevant accounting process
Ensure complete, accurate and timeous processing of transactions
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procedures & protocols within the group
Manage ad hoc projects
Attending to customers (Admin Managers/Management/Colleagues) queries and promoting a high level of customer service
Assisting internal and external auditors
Promoting best operating practises
Constantly striving to improve working methods to improve standardisation and efficiencies
Manage a team with 5 subordinates

Requirements:

CA (SA)
At least 2 years post articles experience
Experience in SAP would be an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical with advanced Excel Skills
High performance orientation, independence, functional proficiency, initiative and an ability to meet deadlines is essential for this position as is attention to detail and good communication and report writing skills
Excellent communication skills is crucial
